GLi, the investment platform operated under a joint venture between PATRIZIA AG and Kingston Space Property (KSP), has acquired an 11-acre industrial site in Mitcham, south London, and in a strategic move, has also bought an adjoining 2.5-acre site that will open up secondary access onto Willow Lane.
In combination, the two sites, which are located off Goat Road and Willow Lane respectively, once developed, will form a brand-new, sustainable, prime urban logistics park comprising a total of five industrial units ranging in size between 40,000 sq. ft – 100,000 sq. ft.
All units on the park will be 100 percent electric powered, including car and van charging points, and developed on a net zero carbon basis.
The new logistics park, which is situated in a prime distribution area of London, boasts easy access to London via Beddington Corner/the A237 and is close to road networks including the A23 and A205. The Park also offers good commuter connectivity via Mitcham Junction station.
Commenting on behalf of GLi, CEO David Johnson said: “Mitcham is an established logistics distribution centre, located on London’s doorstep, and is perfect for the establishment of a prime urban logistics park to meet rising demand for occupiers, and also their expectations concerning sustainability and reducing carbon emissions.
