Talking Sheds and Scrummaging: Welcoming a World Cup Winner to Croydon
With the Six Nations underway, KSP marked the start of the tournament in style on Wednesday 4 February, KSP welcomed rugby legend, Mike Tindall, alongside comedian, Archie Curzon, at the CR1 and CR2 warehouse units in Croydon, entertaining an audience of agents and partners, giving them a look around the next-generation spaces.
Sunny, blue skies set the tone for the day as guests arrived at the ultra-sustainable warehouses, which together offer more than 100,000 sq ft of modern, flexible use space with a rare cross-dock opportunity; two adjoining units that can operate separately or combine into one seamless operation, ideal for food, logistics and manufacturing occupiers.
The main event was a lively Q&A with Mike and Archie, who covered topics from the dressing room to the warehouse floor, giving guests a behind-the-scenes insight into elite level sport and its trials and tribulations. The pair chatted about Mike’s successful rugby career and his future ventures, while Archie kept the audience laughing.
After the Q&A, there was a tour around CR1 and CR2. Guests and speakers enjoyed pizza and tiramisu, one lucky guest won the rugby ticket raffle, with Mike and Archie staying to chat with attendees well into the afternoon.
Over the next six weeks eyes will turn to the Six Nations, but KSP will continue to fly the flag for CR1 and CR2 – modern, ready-made and sustainable spaces that have been built to meet demand from occupiers who are looking for warehouse space in a strategic London location.
Will Ikin, Executive Director of Investments at KSP: “What a day to welcome two legends in their own right, Mike and Archie, to CR1 and CR2 – thanks to both, and all our guests, for coming. It was great to hear Mike lifting the lid on professional sport, while Archie was a hilarious host, giving us a barrel of laughs.
Bringing people into the warehouses is always a highlight for me – nothing beats seeing their reaction when they walk into the spaces. From high ceilings to solar panel coverage and a large office space, these warehouses are fit for occupiers across sectors, in one of the primary hubs for industrial and logistics in London.”
